St Margaret's

High Street Rainham

Rainham's splendid parish church is another one which can host a big day but also works for smaller parties. Probably the best bells in Kent (the writer lives near them so he's biased!)

And the magnificent Millennium Centre is in the grounds with its spectacular views over the river for your reception venue.

St Luke's
Sidney Road Gillingham

This church set right in the heart of its community has both a large main body to the church and a gorgeous side chapel for intimate gatherings.

St Luke's does very impressive ceremonies!

The attached church hall is a cheap and cheerful reception venue.

Why would anyone who lives or has lived in St Luke's parish go anywhere else?

St Peter's (Parish of South Gillingham)

Hurstwood Road Bredhurst

Part of the parish of South Gillingham (so you're linked to this church if you or your parents live or have lived in Parkwood, Wigmore, Hempstead or Bredhurst) St Peter's is a beautiful village church which can hold up to 120. The side chapel holds up to 12.

St Augustine's

At the top of Chatham Hill

Bigger than it looks from the outside, St Augustine's can host weddings big and small.

You enter from the end through a welcome lobby and then straight down the magnificent aisle.

St Matthew's

Drewery Drive Wigmore

St Matthew's is a large, modern building with seating surrounding a central altar. It has an attached community centre and is ideal for "something different."

On the High Street in Gillingham

It's the one at the bottom of Canterbury Street.

Another large venue but which can host any size ceremony. And if you prefer guitars and drums to organ and choir they can arrange that for you too.

St Paul's (Parish of South Gillingham)

Parkwood Green

St Paul's is a modern building seating up to 200.

Large free car park, the community centre nearby and the trees on the green for the photos make this a venue with a difference.

Holy Trinity

Twydall Lane

Good news from Twydall! Whilst the iconic 1960s building remains closed, we hope soon to have Twydall Old Church relicensed as a venue. With its charming interior, which can double-up as a reception venue afterwards, why would you want to get married anywhere else?
